What began 25 years ago as a small group of voices has grown into something far greater than a chorus. For generations of singers, the Des Moines Gay Men's Chorus became a place to be seen, supported, and celebrated. Through music, performance, and community, the chorus created space for connection during moments of joy, uncertainty, progress, and change.
This documentary explores that journey through the voices of the people who lived it. Featuring personal stories, archival footage, and reflections spanning decades, the film captures how a local chorus became a meaningful part of Des Moines LGBTQ+ history and an enduring source of belonging for so many.
As the chorus celebrates its Silver Jubilee Season, this film preserves the stories, memories, and impact that helped shape the organization into what it is today and ensures those stories continue to be shared for generations to come.
